Exponential Potential

So mightily grew the word of the Lord and prevailed. Acts 19:20

But the word of God grew and multiplied. Acts 12:24
God's Word has extraordinary power. It can used many ways to accomplish many things. It is said to be good for teaching, correction, inspiration, and other such things (2 Timothy 3:16). It has been twisted and turned, even tweeked, to be used for negative purposes to justify enslavement, colonialism, and even wars that included ethnic cleansing. Yet, the Word of God must be used for God's purposes by believers.
When believers use the Word of God to accomplish the things of God, things happen. Lives are changed by the power of God's Word. hearts are convicted and souls are converted. God's Word is so powerful that it brings about changes that cannot be imagined. Try hard to imagine what would happen if what was "hidden" in our hearts came forth from our mouths in this day and age. Picture the possibilities! Now, once you have a clear mental picture of what could be, start sharing and spreading His Word. When we do so, things happen among us and around us. Do it and watch God work.

End the Hate

Along the way of life, someone must have sense enough to cut off the chain of hate.
-Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus shared that we should love our enemies. Gandhi fought off the British Empire without fighting a war. In the struggle for Civil Rights, Dr. King preached nonviolence. What we need to do today is look at how we can conquer hate. Hate is destructive.

Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Let us seek to do good and keep doing good. Let us do good to our neighbors (Romans 15:2). Overcome the hatred with a love that goes beyond the norm.

Let your light shine before men so that they may see your good works
and glorify your Father who is in heaven.-Matthew 5:16

Jesus talks about sharing and showing our light as he calls us the “light of the world” in Matthew 5:14-16. He shares that a lit candle is not lit to be hidden but to shed light on all that is around it. He expressly states that we should let our light shine before men for a two-point purpose:
1) Men are to see your good works
2) Men will glorify God

Ministry has the ultimate purpose of glorifying God. Guess what? When you do your good works, you are letting your light shine before men just as Jesus shared for us to do as the light of the world. However, when these men see your good works, they won’t give you the glory. No, they will see your good works and give glory to the One who provided the light. They will give praises to the Lord who caused us to let our lights shine before men in the first place.
Share it and show it.
Let your light shine.

If you live a life guided by wisdom, you won't limp or stumble as you run.
- Proverbs 4:12 (NLT)
Do not do as the wicked do or follow the path of evildoers.
- Proverbs 4:14 (NLT)
We all need could use some good counsel. Our youth could use good counsel as well, especially those whose parents have been distracted or detoured with drugs, incarceration, substance abuse, and other issues. Some youth just haven't been disciplined by their parents in this day and age. They haven't been exposed to positive role models, especially by those adults who are supposed to take care of them day after day. Good counsel that comes from godly wisdom is the prescription for the condition that is ailing those who stand at the crossroads of life about to wander down the wrong path.
There is a way that will keep you from stumbling or falling prey to life's many obstacles and obstructions. Also, there is a way that is ascribed to the "wicked"and "evilddoers." You have the power of choice, a free will to choose your path in life. Your options can be viewed as limitless or limited, but you have the choice. Either you can accept good counsel and godly wisdom or you can reject it, going the way of the wicked or the foolish. No matter which you choose, the choice is yours.

Amen Me!
